In November 1991 Frank Knorpp and I went to Choluteca Honduras along with
several pastors and laymen as part of an Assembly of God, "Light For The Lost" prayer task force. The group went
with the goal of distributing a new testament to every home in Choluteca, and to spend time in prayer and fasting for the
city. A tent crusade was hele each night as part of what was to be the founding of a new evangelistic center that was to be
constructed in mid 1992
This was Frank's first mission trip and it turned out to be a life changing experience
for him. In April of 1992 I took Frank and Marilyn on a mission trip to Ciudad Acuna Mexico where we worked with Faith Mission
International. In May we returned to Choluteca to work with pastor Pedro Ordones and some of the christian brothers to clear
land in preparation for a group from the Assembly of God church in Bolivar Mo. to come in and build the new evangelistic center.
By January of 1993, Frank and Marilyn were making mission trips to Mexico on a monthly basis,
transporting supplies and people who came along to help and see the mission field for themselves.
In March of 1995, Helping Hands Mission Outreach was established as a not for profit corporation
in the state of Missouri. The founding officers were, Frank and Marilyn Knorpp, Nita Reardon and myself. Frank and Marilyn
have sponsored over 140 short term mission trips.
Over the years Helping Hands Missions has helped to build homes and churches, begun a video
outreach ministry, been involved in a number of evangelilstic campaigns, and organized short term mission trips for churches,
various organizations and individuals. Although our work has been focused primarily on Mexico, we have also been involved
in ministry and short term mission work in Honduras, Haiti, Ecuador, China, The Dominican Republic, and Puerto Rico.

In December of 2006, Ramonita and I will have completed the first year of our second tour of
duty in the Rio Grand Valley. We were here for eight months from July of 03 to Feburary of O4, when we had to return home
to Oklahoma to care for my mother who was terminally ill. She passed away in June 2005.We returned back to
the border in early December and began serving as the Helping Hands Mission Representatives.
Shortly after our arrival we were called to go to Puerto Rico. Ramonita's father had taken
ill. He passed away in Feb. of 2006. I returned home and Ramonita stayed behind for a time to help her step mother to make
the transition.
Since we work as a team this got us off to a slow start. Ramonita returned in late March
and we got busy. Looking back, we had a blessed year. We had numerous invitations to speak in churches and give
aid and assistance to pastors in Mexico and on the Texas side of the border. We did a couple of evangelism campaigns,
one in Matamoros, another at Fantasy Island. We hosted one construction team, and worked along side other missions groups
on some of their construction projects and evangelism campaigns.

We welcome Arley as the newest addition to our Helping Hands Mission Staff. He has lived here in the
Rio Grand Valley for the past 30 years and is a retired school teacher. Bro. Mcintyre has been involved in short term missions
to some of the indian tribes who live in the mountains in the interior of Mexico.
